Minster Lovell Cricket Club

Welcome to the website of Minster Lovell Cricket Club.

The club was founded in 1896, and in over 100 years, has provided cricket for the people of Minster Lovell and the surrounding towns and villages.

For the 2017 season, the club will field three teams in the Cherwell Cricket League, with teams competing in Divisions 4, 7 and10.

It is hoped that with a new influx of talent, along with some very promising youth players coming through the ranks, that the club will progress further up the ladder with an eye on promotion.

The club has a very strong youth setup, with teams from under 8 up to under 17 and a MLCC Lions XI, the county's first inclusive cricket group
. Minster Lovell CC was one of the first clubs in the county to receive the Clubmark accreditation, ensuring your child is guaranteed to be coached with best practices in mind.

As well as a thriving youth setup, the club also boasts four senior teams in total, with a first, second and third XI playing league cricket on a Saturday and a Sunday XI playing friendly cricket.

The club has a second ground at Brize Norton, which is used for all Saturday third XI fixtures as well as a number of friendlies throughout the season.

The club are ambitious to progress both on and off the field, and hopes to continue to develop all its teams in the future.
Anybody interested in playing for the club at any level, or who would like to help out in other ways, please contact Keith Wright via this website.

Minster Lovell Cricket Club's senior teams have been sponsored by Charterville Felt Roofing for a number of years. From this year The Spar in Minster Lovell will be the sponsors of the MLCC Lions XI
.

Harry Ebsworth will captain the first team in 2017, with Ben Spencer in charge of the second XI and Dave Mayers the third team. Sunday cricket, by its very nature, is a friendly affair, and this year will be captained by Keith Wright.
